Safety deposit box Tudor "Lollipop" story!

Hey everyone,

Just posted a new story on Watch Patina Here's a short excerpt:

"This was Joe's first suit and tie job, so he went out and bought a whole new wardrobe. He shared his new opportunity
with his Mom – who felt her son needed a watch to complete his “dress for success” look. So she decided to give Joe his
dad’s Tudor, which she had kept in safety deposit box for over a decade..."

Click title below for the full write-up... Thanks so much; let me know what you think...

Great write up of a great story.

I hope that one day my wife will be able to do that for my kids. We have talked several times about what watches I would want to stay in the family.

Hey Brandon - Thanks for reading! With all the crazy selling of watches nowadays, I love hearing about one that hasn't strayed too far from the original owner . Have a great week!

Cool story and nice watch. I'm the youngest of three boys. My dad had a gold Omega that he wanted to give my older brothers, but they wanted Swatches. I found the watch and got it working. They both regret not taking that watch every time I show up with it on my wrist.

Thanks for sharing do they still have the Swatches?! ... I have a few "nice" watches, so if I'm a dad someday (I hope to be), my children will have a few pretty-decent ones to pick from (none are Swatches...)

Thanks! They have a nice collection between them, mostly Rolex and Omega, but the always offer trade-bait for the "heirloom".

I have 2 sons, so it will tough to decide who gets the 5513 and the 16700. Seems only fair that my daughter gets grandpa's small Omega...
