Tudor submariner serviced
Hello all
I own a Tudor Submariner 94010 snowflake no date Just returned from picking it up from the only place here in Montreal Canada that could service it locally, according to Rolex Canada as they also are Tudor retailer This is what was done in the full service according to the invoice: CTR = 350 PLEXI = N\C CROWN TUBE = 125 BEZEL INCERT= 85 PARTS= 100 According to them i was missing the pearl so they replaced the insert !!??they told me they returned the old one to Rolex to be destroyed ,, to me the numbers look a bit smaller ?? i would of liked to have the choice to keep the old one on for the originality anyways !! but the real bummer is by replacing the tube they also replaced the crown with a Tudor shield ,, i was told that they gave Rolex a part number and send this one in exchange ,, they also had to send the old one back ??? yet again the originality is out the window ,, Any comments ,, has any one had this done to them ,, should i have gotten a Rolex crown to match the oyster case ?? : pictures taken with my phone |

They should have been able to put in a new pearl without replacing the whole insert, and should have replaced the Rolex crown with the same.

imho they do not and did not send anything back to rolex to be destroyed. The person working there 1 of them knows the value of those parts and will most likely be selling them soon.

I believe you are being told a story. If you used a credit card, perhaps challenge the charge as "unauthorized work performed".
Now that this has happened you have one way to get back to normal IMHO - although it means sending it to the RSC. Then when RSC tells you detailed overhaul price and parts to be swapped back to original, you will have the evidence to support your cc claim. And your Tudor will be put right.

Update
I have been in communication with RSC Toronto trying to locate my bezel insert ,,as i told the AD i could live with not having a pearl ,, also when i unscrew the crown ,, the whole movement shifts within the casing from left to right !!! told RSC about it ,, and they want me to send it in to them ASAP so they can assess and fix this abnormal issue , they will be charging the AD so no charge to me ,, I understand they are under orders from Geneva regarding the Rolex , Tudor shield crown,,I am wiling to bite the bullet about this ,, but not the bezel insert and the dial and movement shifting ,, I believe they really want to help me with these issues,, time will tell .. hate loosing my watch for an other month !!! |

When I got an old Tudor Mini-Sub serviced by RSC last year, they assured me that any Rolex-marked part (back, crown) would be replaced like for like, if necessary. Neither was needed, I just asked out of curiosity.
