Are new Rolex models available sooner in Switzerland than US?
I know the answer likely is yes, but wonder how much sooner. I'll actually be in Basel next month. Just wondering....;-)

Several years ago, Swiss ADs used to receive newly released Basel watches 1-2 months earlier than the US. However my guess is that delay has shrunk to 1-2 weeks nowadays.

I wonder if the Swiss AD's are allowed to use the "Will Call" window at the factory? That would REALLY speed things up!!

It's a funny idea to toy with - what if Rolex sold its watches the same way Apple retails their products.
"This DaytonaC is available, worldwide, tomorrow". Would there be lines outside Rolex boutiques around the world? Or would it simply remove the halo around the products, and nobody would really care anymore? |
