Wrist time

For those that own multiple Rolex's (and other brands), how do you decide which ones get the wrist time? I have worn one to work only to change to something else in the evening Do you find too large a collection to be distracting? Which also brings up another point...servicing them...but that's for a different thread.

i more or less have a three watch rotation. usually i go about 1 watch for 1 week and switch. unless i'm doing a bit more hands on work in which case i go to my tudor BB.

if i'm doing something real nutty i wear my seiko.

Depends on what I'm wearing that day, and what mood I am in.

No real logic to it...and if I find one isn't getting wrist time, it goes on probation and ultimately sold if it continues.

Mood, activity, attire. What I am doing drives it the most. I have really reduced my collection of late. Down to 4 watches and mostly vintage these days. Before when I had 8+ watches it was harder to rotate them and some seemed to get very little wrist time. One of the reasons I reduced the size. Now they all get regular wrist time. Two are keepers for life and the other two can come and go.

It's all random for me. No rules, just what I desire to wear that morning!

I wear mine in a rough rotation. I start at one end of my 3 quad winder boxes and usually end up at the other end of the last box. I wear one a day. This usually takes 10-12 days.

I have been switching between three main pieces of mine throughout the week for years now.

Lately though it has been all Sub. This is mostly due to comfort and my sub can't be beat...

Right now, I alternate week to week. I find that I appreciate each watch after missing wearing it for a bit. That may change moving forward, especially if I acquire additional pieces.

i generally choose the watch of the day based on function, then fashion, but sometimes i throw it all out of the window.

I usually try to match the dial to the color of my clothes. Pool is Submariner time. Beach, travelling or beating up and it's - shock horror - Seiko Astron GPS Solar time!

I try to give each of my watches equal time, so it takes me about 1/2 a year to get through them all (one per week). I just grab 4-5 from the safe deposit box each month.

I wear what I want when I want and I send them in for repair without concern as I have plenty of alternatives.

I usually just pick one and then wear it for about a week. After that, back in the safe it goes and I pick something else.

I might put a little more thought into it if I have a wedding or special event to attend.

I generally have no rhyme or reason whatsoever for my rotation...though it can depend on a combination of mood and attire for me. But when I find pieces falling out of favor and spending most of their time in the box, that's how they end up on the chopping block.

It's usually a functional thing when I have a wide selection. Like a diver when I'm spelunking and a caver when I'm diving. Ummm...mixed that up

Daytona's go to the track more than any other. Vintage goes out to dinner more than the chrono's

for multiple Rolex owners, a periodic service every 5-6 years at $750.00 a pop can/could get expensive.

in response to the initial thread query...there's a guy at work who changes his Rolex 'presentation' 2-3 times a day (morning, after lunch & evening) alternating between a Submariner/GMT/DJ & he is perceived to be a wacko by his colleagues.

No rules for me... Sometimes I wear a sub for months then one day I change for a couple of days a different one and then I change again...one day I realize some watches are in the box untouched for months and decide to pick one up!
Now I'm wearing my 5513 for two months and no idea when I'll change and which model or brand will choose!!
Only god knows...

I travel a lot so I wear a different one every trip. My trips are 5/6 days long and normally I switch as soon as I get home. Depending on where I am going it will be either PM or TT.

I only have 3 watches right now, so I just go 2-3 days each or based on what outfit I'm wearing.. I have a 116719BLRO, 15202ST, and a 5711/1P (yes I wear it).

I also have a Daytona....but don't plan on keeping it..for that reason it's been getting the most most wrist time.

it just depends on what im in the mood to wear. sometimes it also depends on which watch is easily accessible.

I rotate them fairly evenly, if one stops making the cut, time to move it on.
