I will have to put my SD to sleep now....Help !!

That's it...I have to.
After only 3 days on my wrist I've decided my SD wil have to be stored for a month because of the following reasons:

1) Weather. It's too hot now,the damn thing is too sweaty. Not that i can't take it now,it's just too much. I work from an AC place to a baking hot parking lot/pool complex...I'm constantly sweating. I need some dry weather.

2) Attention. Too much attention is something i've never liked actually... ...a lot of customers told me lately " ehy....what a nice watch"....just wait for some more long sleeve fleece.

3) Focus. That was a nice post few days ago. I cannot concentrate at work yet...I tend to look at the time too much and it' something in this very busy month i cannot afford to do.

Planned wake up time again : a month from toady. Will the baby be damaged in a month long stop ? I know it's a vert silly question and the watch will be fine. It's just this watch so fare have kept the time in an incredible precise way....it never lost a beat to the second, unlike a DJ I had few years ago.
Will it be like that after a month stop??

No,i cannot buy a winder now....

Thanks for any input. Have a great summer everyone,or winter if you live down under.

Andrea

Leaving it for a month won't hurt it at all. Just give it the proper winding to wake it up and all will be fine. But, I think you'll miss it too much!

None of those reasons would be good enough for me to store it away! Let's see if you make it a month!

If its too hot, get a NATO band, there are some pics of them on here on Subs and the really do look quite nice!

I am surprised that many people notice the SD on your wrist, I rarely hear people say anything unless they are fellow watch junkies.

Most people do not know what it is as it doesnt have the cyclops.

Watch won't be damaged, but just think of the 30 days you didn't wear it. That month is gone forever. I wear my SD daily, regardless of sun, rain snow or sleet.
Good luck,

I don't think that you can make it i mean one month is way too much

Everyday you will open the box and look at it

I've through this too when i had my academic exams

Those watches are distracting

Wear It! Enjoy It! That's why you Bought It. "Christ" if I can go over the handlebars of my bike with my watch on and still never take it off you can wear that big hunk of steel every day. Don't put it away, you 'll be missing to much

Whew..... Had me worried..

Around here, when you "put it to sleep"....It's sort of like on the East Coast when you "sleep with the fishes"..

You know,,, you don't get it back in a month...

Get it worn and stop worrying about it, NATO band is the solver.

Leave it on and stop worrying. Knock it through some drywall if you feel self conscious. When I first got my Sub I was freaked out for like 3 weeks, and that was only a $2500 watch.

No one notices my SD, by the way. I used to get way more comments from my Seiko chronograph.

it could be very dangerous for your watch to sit idle for a month-being I am a nice guy I will let you send it to me and I will wear it for you to keep it in sync.then I will send it back next month.
sound good?

Man I sympathise. My latest thread say it all. My son is beating the hell out of my LV so I've made her a safe queen.

Put it away for a bit, I'd pretty much gotten complacent about the old girl and when I wore her yesterday it was like putting on a new watch.

As for Natos....I'll put forward the JJ Vote as that old tosser won't be out of bed yet. Say No to Nato.

I feel your pain, and will make room in my schedule if you need some babysitting.

Just got home from work.

Thanks for the suggestions. I say no to NATO. Man...they are so popular right now in Italy. I'm not saying they're ugly...they are just offensive for a Rolex. A Rolex is the total package, not just something that tells you the time. I just love to admire the bracelet's details.

all the way down to Tampa....!!! Be sure to ride some stuff at Bush Gardens to keep it on track !! I love that park.

as Jim said I think I will let it rest for a few weeks. Yes I will be missing it,yes i will be thinking of it. But I'm already thinking about when I will be wearing it again in a month after the busy work period will be gone and a more dry weather will be arrived. It will be that " just bought " feeling again....

.....god my velcro strap Timex feels light and fresh!!....I feel like I'm naked !!!

Is there any room left on the clasp to make it bigger? I do this in the summer months to make my Sub more comfortable. It doesn't fit so tight this way

Mine sometimes sleeps with fishes for 2-3 months!!!....only without the concrete shoes!

No issues to leave it alone for a while!
