prefer the minutes than 3,6,9. But I would of kept the green/yellow.

Maybe Rolex will correct their "mistake" in subsequent releases, as they supposedly did with the Explorer. Some people with love it in it's current form.
For all the flack, it does remind of previous Rolex OP 36mm concentric dials as introduced. |

The 3-6-9 motif has a long history with Rolex in the OP, Explorer, Air King lines and I don't expect it to disappear.
It would not be unexpected that Rolex might release a toned down version at some point, but really, if one doesn't like the Air King dial, the obvious alternative would be either the Explorer or the OP. I don't think that the 40mm case offers so much an advantage that 39mm wouldn't do.

On the Rolex website, the Air King40 dial is made in reference to the Bloodhound super car project.
Its instruments are designed by Rolex and looks similar.

I know I might be going against the grain here, but both are beautiful watches and I'd be happy with either. It's nice to see the AK increased to 40mm... It's better than seeing it disappear completely. IMO, any Rolex is worth owning or wanting.
