Rolex sub c or Oris Aquis Blue dial
I wanted to get a Sub C but with all the bs that Rolex has created I went with a Oris Aquis blue dail. On top of saving 7k plus I got my watch in a day no problem no hassle love the watch.
It has a ceramic bezel, dive clasp, pressure tested 300m, even a blue dial-bezel Rolex doesn't make. Sure it's an Sellita SW200 so what it's about at COSC time keeping anyway. I love Rolex own 5 but with a lack of stock talks of price increases with unknown dates causing reseller to over charge ADs have a waiting list for all tool watches it s turned into alot of bs in Canada. I'm very happy with my Oris as an every day wear watch what I was planning to do with the Sub C I was getting. I think Rolex has pissed off to many customers and may loose many with the current gong show... |

If a sub is what you want, no amount of any other watches will satisfy you. It will only cause you to spend more money. Just remember, a SubC isn't going to lose value and you don't have to buy from an ad. Good luck.

The Oris is a cool watch! Wear it in good health bud
So is it really that different in Canada? It doesn't seem quite as complicated to buy a watch here in the states. |

List of watches I bought before my Submariner : Oris Aquis on Bracelet, Oris Aquis Date on Rubber, Oris BC3+, Longines Conquest and Longines Hydroconquest.
Enjoy your Oris, it is beautiful, it is sturdy and I'm sure it can take anything you throw at it but please look at my signature. Had I gotten the Submariner instead of attempting to substitute it, I would have saved the almost $2000 I lost offloading all of the aforementioned. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

Canadian dollar
Quote:
The reason is the Canadian dollar is at 76 cents US now it was as low as 67 cents, company's are greedy when we had a higher then US dollar no one lowered the price. Now they are holding stock hoping it goes up. Buying from the U.S. Will kill us here to add 25% to the bill. As you can imagine we haven't seen a pay increase |

All those complaints have nothing to do with the quality of the watch itself. Just sayin'. :cheers/

Oris makes great diver and i vote with my own money. However, I do prefer the previous pan case design. Rolex Sub and Oris have very different feel on wrist. My Oris Small Second 1000M is very bulky and sporty. Different animal from Submariner. Can't say which is the favorite. Love both brands and their products. I tend to wear harder, worry free with Oris.

If you are not having luck in Canada, maybe try an online seller from TRF or take a trip to somewhere with favorable exchange rates.
As an Oris Aquis and Rolex Explorer owner they compliment each other well. But if I had to pick the Explorer would win every time. Good luck and hope you do get the Sub some day. |

Oris make a fine watch. I understand the exchange rate and would say find the best deal possible and get your sub. In the end, for me, it is about having the watch that I want.

I am sure you could have gotten a Sub C in Toronto! I will be there next week and am hopeful there are a few sport models lying around.

Why is your new Oris post in the Rolex forum? Glad you like it....I can tell you with certainty, it will not scratch the itch of wanting a Sub.
Enjoy |

Personally I agree. Rolex should increase the prices in Canada now and return stock.

Are there no resellers on chrono24 watchrecon etc in your area? I wouldn't give up on the subc just yet altho the AD hassles I appreciate, and one reason why the DaytC is not a priority for me.

Find a Sub C in Toronto
The only thing I've been able to find is a no date not my first choice, but they won't discount it and at full pop I'll wait for a date Sub price increase or not it s the one I wanted, but at this point I may not bother and just enjoy the Oris. Have a great time in Toronto
