NOS Service Advice
This question I'm sure is somewhere on a thread but I couldn't find it. If one were in possession of a unworn New Old Stock (let's say 10 YO), would you run it immediately up for a service?

No, only if I was going to wear it regularly. Once serviced it's not NOS anymore ...

If I was going to wear it, yes. If it is for a investment, no.

Yes, plan to wear it. Didn't consider the investment angle however! Thanks for that insight.

If you're gonna wear it, get it serviced. It's just a clean and re-lube of the movement but it's recommended when it didn't run for approximately 10 years. |
