is the new chromalight lume the same as before?

I was under the impression that the "short hand" Exp.1 also used chromalight lume until I cam across this picture from Jake's blog:

All of my watches with Chromalight look like the picture on the left. Either they have a new Chromalight or they got a little bit too excited with photoshop
