I flipped my 116710LN for the 116600
I flipped my 116710LN for the 116600. Almost.
The 116710LN is gone and now I'm waiting to pick up the SD 4000 at my AD on March 29. Can't wait. I've been in love with that timepiece for such long time! If I could have both, I would. But that's not an option. Now the question for those of you who own a 116600; Have the SD 4000 ever bored you? Or is it really just a keeper as many of you mentions? In my case it's kind of a conservative move based on my colorful and versatile collection through the years and thereof my only concern regarding my new purchase. I would love to hear your thoughts and see pictures of your SD 4000. That's it. My first post on Rolex Forums. Thank you very much for such a great database of qualified knowledge on our common interest |

Never owned a SDc, but the GMT 2c is one of my all time favorites. I think you can get bored with anything...what else is in the collection?

There's a big difference in the wear on those two models-- did you try on the Sea-Dweller? I personally found it uncomfortable.

I love my SD4K. I've had a SubC (well 2), DSSD, and an AP ROO 42mm. My SD is my daily wearer now.

The SD4000 is the best looking all black Rolex in my opinion. But all black can get boring. I ended up trading mine for the 116710 with the green accents, but now I'm bothered by the PCLs. Thinking about going back to the SD4k. Argh!

The SDc is my one and only Rolex and I think it's perfect, I went through a few Rolex last year and finally I feel like I found the best of all the Rolex I have flipped. Beautiful matte dial, date but no cyclops, perfect perportioned case, ceramic dial. There is no modern Rolex I would trade it for, and its not very common. I hope you enjoy it!

I really wanted to like it and tried it on various times but it didn't work for me - at one stage I lined up the DSSD, SD, Sub-C and Sub and the clear winner (comfort, style, fit) was the Sub.......bit of a surprise as I owned a Sub-C at the time! I hope that you enjoy it but the chances are that you will be looking for something else in the coming months to "scratch the itch".........join the crowd😃.

The SD4000 is fantastic
I flipped a DSSD for it (that watch, while a marvel of engineering was just too big for me) and have never looked back.
Now, of course, I have to have the new ceramic Daytona! |

I've owned them both, the GMT2c is a keeper. As much as I tried to fool myself, the SD4K never fit my wrist right

I've been wearing mine for 20 months now and still loving it, cannot wait to get it on my wrist every morning.
I tried a lot of SS models but this one just looked perfect to me. Hope you'll love it too. |

I have a newly acquired SD4K. I'd been looking at a diver and looked at all the Rolex offerings. Without cyclops, has date, flies under the radar, great shape case and lugs, great bracelet, not too big but with some presence, not overly common and stimulates conversation................
I could go on but you get my drift. I love mine and it will be a keeper. Enjoy yours and wear it in good health. You could always buy something else a little more 'flamboyant' should you want ;) Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk |

I bought the SD4k on the day of release and have worn it 99% of the time since. I kept hold of my GMT2 for three months after getting the SD because I really liked it and didn't want to sell it, but it just wasn't getting any wrist time so it had to go. Have never regetted it.
I have now ordered the new Daytona, but I can already guarantee that the SD will still get the majority of my wrist time. For me it is perfect, I simply can't find fault. Never say never when it comes to watches, but I will be amazed if I ever flip the SD.

Feel happy and content. You are getting the best modern SS Rolex out there, IMHO. Congrats on a great choice!
NOTE: Although the new Daytona-500 white dial looks pretty sweet, too! |

Good luck with your SDc. Unfortunately SDc wasn't good for me due to the thickness. Other than that, it is a very solid everyday sports watch.

The SD is Awesome! It is a taller watch, and heavier, but in a good way. It wears really comfortably, even though it sits a little taller than the Sub.
I have the Sub, and the SD4k, and with that fabulous Glide-Lock Clasp, I don't ever see either one of them leaving... Make sure you remove, if it hasn't been done already, the Diver Extension. It will make it wear more comfortable.

The SDc is wonderful!! That is my SS got to piece!!! I removed the diver's extension and the fit is absolutely perfect!
The easy link is okay but the glide lock is perfection! Add the shorter lugs and dial and you have perfection! |

I have just acquired a SDc and just sized it as well as removing the diving extension.
Having had Subs in the past, I was now looking for the clean affect of no cyclops on the crystal.

I love the GMT model. It's my favorite, and most used complication, but I'd swap it for a 116600 every time. It is supremely comfortable, rugged, and great looking.
