16613 on leather!
I would have chosen the Everest black alligator strap with end links.
However it does look good and provides a great option to not worry about scratches...

Would have chosen that for the GMT II as well I think, but I didn't like the links with the gold that much. The alligator looks great, but is also a little shiny and I wanted to take that away. Looks great on the GMTII!

The leather gives the Watch a great feel on the wrist. And if your goal was to tone it down a bit, that black strap does the job and it is very comfortable. When you draw attention to someone's watch, the first thing you notice is the oyster bracelet, then you figure out what watch. I've always felt that Rolex is 80% bracelet 20% watch. The leather flips the stats!

+1 on the end links. Here's my 16613 w/end links on leather as well as on a Rubber B.
At the end I kept the bracelet on. Sorry about the cut up hands, I do a lot of mma/brazilian jiujitsu, and get scratched up from time-to-time. |
