Milgauss uk

Went into one fo the AD near me today and had a look around, I would love a milgauss but it seems unlikely ill get one unless its ridiculously overpriced. Anyone got any tips on what to do?

Im now considering either the submariner with date or gmt II.
Been thinking about the sea dweller but whats the difference apart from the date bubble and waterproof between seadweller and submariner? 16600 v 16610 for arguments sake.

Or I could be cheap and change the face of my datejust and just stick with that and my pam114 for a while and maybe even hold out for the Milgauss if there is any luck.

If you're looking for bang for buck you should get an M series sea-dweller. You will never lose money of it at this stage.

2 tips:-

1) Get on a list
2) Make lots of phone calls!

As for the SD vs SUB - chalk & cheese!
Can't praise the SD enough... Get one now before they're all gone!

You need to try them on to see how they feel and look on you..

The SD is thicker and heavier, but the dial is slightly smaller.. I think that an SD is a great watch to have for that occasional water encounter but is not a comfortable daily wear..

I would go for the Sub as an everyday piece..

Wait for what you want...

Hi Mike,

In my view you're better off to wait and to buy what you want in the first place (ie a Milgauss).

If you buy something else you'll still have a hankering for the Milgauss and in the end you'll be buying one anyway.

I'm sure one will come your way sooner than later.

I wanted a regular black Milgauss ever since they came out.

I visited Auckland last weekend with my wife.

One AD had both a black face and a GV Milgauss hidden out back. I was asked which one I wanted. When I said the GV Milgauss I was asked how much I was prepared to pay over list!

I couldn't believe it! Needless to say I didn't do business with that AD.

Visiting the other AD was a breath of fresh air. Friendly, pleasant, down to earth and keen to do business.

They had both a white and a black face Milgauss in their display. I bought the black Milgauss and couldn't be happier.

All the best with yours. I hope it comes along soon! It's a mighty watch!

Kind regards

Chris

well they said the list has about a hundred people on it and they are expecting 3 in the next 6months so the waiting list is closed for now. I have now in a tru indecisive manor decided a GMT II is the way forwards and try to get on a list for a milgauss.

If you truly love Milgauss and don't mind a used one, you can get one fast. it can't be more than a couple of years old.
The production will continue and there will not be a list soon.
