AP Virgin~ Still an Virgin after 2016 LV / GTG

In the AP shop and I see this, see pic #1. I have thought about AP and felt they were too big on me. The 41mm seemed to work and I said, "I'll take it." The AD told me it was Not for sale! What?

I was shown several other watches and given the "opportunity" to buy one from them and "become a customer" of theirs and possibly have a chance to buy one. NO Thanks!

A few other pics for the AP Lovers!

What do your AP WI's Think?

While there was no incoming, it was a great experience. For such a big purchase, best to have time to think about it and not to be impulsive. If you still love it after some time, order it up! Great time nonetheless! 🍻

I wasn't a big fan either plus the sales lady got some info wrong. I didn't correct her and they were very nice and let me see anything. Although, the closed the store and locked the doors first. lol, really! but I do understand. My girlfriend put it well. A cross between treated like royalty on one hand and a suspect on the other. Anyway, I'm in corp security, so I'm not bothered just funny. I believe they are run by West Time.

I've got an mate in Dubai who's a known dealer and he currently has both the 39 and 41mm Openworks in SS.

PM me and I can put you in touch.

I did get in touch with a dealer in Dubai once and he was using that very same profile picture on WhatsApp. Is it you?

Maybe a coincidence, I'm just saying ;)

- Interesting that they have a 39mm version as the 41mm and larger are too big on me. Still debating if I Really want this watch or not...

I think there are some 'subscription ' pieces from the big manufacturers, like i heard from patek and breguet has the double tourbillon etc..for these pieces you need to be a loyal customer since long because they are produced in very small quantities and have long waiting lists. .may be this is one of those from AP.

I hate that kind of things, maybe this store's policy, show you something great and say you can order one after getting another first, yeah right bye bye...

Go to the Japanese boutique and all the best watches are display models. Very frustrating as they had one I wanted to buy (15305). Never had a good experience there, even as a customer.

well this sales tactic wouldnt work on me either, but i suppose some people in las vegas would be happy with it

i mean with the wealth level of some customers there it would be the equivalent of me being told i need to buy a burger to get the fries

I'm sure you can find a seller "willing" to sell you that beauty!

That boutique is owned by Westime and not high on my list for customer service. No need to buy from them, plenty of other outlet to procure one and at a better price (without the attitude--well maybe a little LOL).

I've been to that boutique twice, and had very nice experiences. I've dealt with Westime for over 15 years. I'm surprised they let you try on a watch that was already sold. I wouldn't want someone trying "my" watch on before I picked it up.

Which boutique did you go. I have a 6500 deposit on the openworked at a Boutique and I was the 5th to do so and told they were only getting 5 this year and I was to get the last one. So i have been out 6500 waiting.... :)

Jaztime (URL posted by PJ S above) is horrible. I tried to buy the older openworked from them. They said they had a new one for 34K a few months back. After I contacted them, they said they had a used one for 39K --- and would correct the ad. A week later they listed the new one-- I wrote to them and said i would buy it and they would not return my call or emails.. They are scum. I hate places that advertise like that
