Yeh, they've been around for ages trading on ebay and always seem to have a stock of used / vintage Rolex. Never used them but you may want to check out their ebay feedback score if your thinking of buying from them. They look legit to me.

Hope this helps.

....be careful of their wording in their listings. They do NOT always verbalize or show "infirmities" of an item in the listing text.

....Springer has a similiar experience about them.

....ask ALL KINDS of questions....then make them stick by their responses.

....be CAREFUL.

I won't buy anything from him again. I bought a watch from him once and a band. I've sent them emails on items for sale that went unanswered. It took one bad experience to do me in. They can be nonrevealing on an item, and due to many buyers lack of knowledge on what they are bidding on, they won't tell you if you don't ask. I would have recommended them after my first purchase with Astrolive, but since then, my opinion is - I don't care for their business practices, regardless of his feedback and won't buy there.

Also, anything sold there without a reserve is on consignment. He sells many consignment watches, so the history of the watch is very minimal on their part.

I would stay away from this seller. He might have received many +ve feedbacks from selling pocket watches and inexpensive stuff but I personally think they are very dishonest business people.

I said this from my recent experience buying from them. I bought a SS Zenith Daytona from them and the case was poorly refinished and there was a small chip on the crystal. They cunningly manipulated and pressured eBay to remove my -ve feedback I left for them. They sold everything under "private auction" at eBay for this reason. I am sure they have done this to many unhappy buyers but it just wouldn't show at eBay's feedbacks forum. Anyway, I have no reason to bad mouth this company otherwise but I just don't want to see any fellow Rolex collectors or users to spend huge sum and not getting what is worth by buying from Astorlive. Don't just buy from someone with high +ve feedbacks but do some research about the company first.

If you are buying a $300 Hamilton pocket watch you might not care about lots of things that you would for $5000-$12,000 Rolex. I simply can't believe they would send me the Daytona in such a condition and hoped that I would accept it. BTW, you can't see those problems from their ebay pictures and I am sure they purposely show them in low res and hided the defects. I went back to their ebay posting and all the pictures showed the watch in much better condition than it actually was when I received it.

Good luck!

Their descriptions are very deceptive, 'collector new' being their favorite terms. Have had a not-so-stellar experience with them recently, got stuck with a large repair bill from Patek. And their in-house watchmaker is grossly under-qualified. Ask many questions, as for additional pictures, and be careful.

I have purchased two watches from them. One I was unhappy with and they actually offered me another watch (same model) for the same price. I accepted as it was a nicer watch than I had bid on. I would caution that some of the watch accessories in their auctions do look put together.

They offer a return policy so if you don't like it just return it.

I like the fact they have no reserve auctions so you can get a deal.
