So it happens that my optimal fit is when I use the easylink extension. One more link - It's too large, One less link - It's too small. One less link + extension = optimal fit.

Does this happen to you guys? There is no problem using the extension as everyday wear right? The downside is that there is no longer an option to further expand the bracelet for a casual/relaxed fit.

I just use the glidelock for new Sub and Sea-Dweller with ceramic , or one of several fine adjustment holes for the 4 and 5 five digit Subs & Dwellers. What advantage does the dive extension offer over those when sizing the bracelet for everyday use?

How do you have the micro-adjustment positions within the clasp set? They might give you the flexibility to find that fit with the easylink closed and then be able to open it when needed when your wrist swells.

Alternatively, you could try using a half link with different combinations of the micro adjustment in the clasp.

Yes. That too.

FYI. One oyster link is 10mm. The Easylink extension is 5mm. Micro adjustment is about 1.5mm per notch.

You can do anything you want, it's your watch..

But that's not what the EZ link is there for. I use it on long drives when the watch "tightens" on the wrist - a quick flik and the binding is gone..

I tried to use the micro adjustment on my 116710 for one week, but then I think I started to get carpal tunnel syndrome. From the words of the late great JJ Irani, "Your index and middle finger should fit smug underneath the clasp of the bracelet, then you know that's the perfect fit." R.I.P. JJ.... Great advice!

Before I sleep I open the easy link, daily use.
For me it's even better than the glidelock, I never get that one right in one time.

I used mine quite a bit when my wrist would swell a bit. I would suggest you fit the watch so that the easy link is not being used. That way you can expand by 1/2 a link when necessry.

The micro adjustment is 1/3 of a full link, which is 3.33 mm (not 1.5mm)

I have the same issue/setup. Having the extension in opened position (+5mm) and moving 1 micro adjustment back (-3.33mm) allows ~1.7mm adjustment

Me too - there is no other way to get exactly that fit, so I have mine extended 24 / 7. - Is there a half link available? - if the half is the same as the easy link extension that would solve the issue for me.

For sure. Heat, humidity, working out at lunch all lead to easy link usage for me. Great feature for non glidelock watches.

My watch is sized with the easylink closed so I suppose I didn't use it for fit. But I figured too tight and I'd want tot take it off so it's there to expand for me if I need it. Never had to, so if it fit better open that's what I'd do. Whatever works.

When I had a watch with easy link, I set it up to fit 90% of the time via bracelet and used easy link for hot days

I use the easy only for when my wrist swells.

Many have mentioned the micro adjustments, which I think are often overlooked.

Below is a shot of a Daytona with a micro adjustment notch circled, and you'll see the springbar to the left over it, set into another notch. I've always been able to get a good fit moving these back and forth when I first buy the watch, and then save the easy link for wrist swell.

I use mine occasionally in the summer. Especially on the Eastern Seaboard at work where not only do I have to deal with humidity but also large pressure changes. Easy link is perfect for those hot summer days.
