A 1002 with cal. 1560 movement I am purchasing displays a mysterious (to me, anyway) marking on its dial. It's a short, horizontal line -- like an underscore -- under the SCOC legend. What the heck is that? I've seen one or two images online of the same marking, but 99.999% of the 1002 dials don't have it.

The underline was used to signify that the dial lume was tritium, during the switch from Radium to tritium, as far as I know.

Nice addition, I've seen a few before, they tend to bring a premium.

I have attached (bad) photo of the dial in question. This is from the seller. I'll take some better shots once the watch is in my hands later this week.

I'm excited since this piece will nearly replicate my long lost and much missed 1002 from 1966-67 (though I suspect the "new" one's from a year or two earlier).

Many thanks for the interesting radium-to-tritium transition dial info.
