DateJust...on Nato? What do you think? Poll...

What do you think?

Perhaps a quick poll? Which do you prefer? Sorry...no love for you 41mm owners.

DateJust 36 on Nato
Datejust 36 on Jubilee
DateJust 36 on Oyster

Thanks...I think I got lucky on the photo though. Wearing it felt awkward though.

I'd prefer leather as an alternative to the Jubilee.

Sorry, Nato should be reserved for the Submariner. Oyster or Jubilee for DJ. Both have a very good look.

Well...I screwed the pooch on this one. Missed the "poll checkbox" on the thread creation.

Can a moderator open that back up or do I have to start over?

I used to do the same with my silver dial DJ, but I didn't have a fluted bezel, so it seemed a little more tool'ish in my case. I'm not sure that it works with the fluted bezel.

Keep in mind that the fluted bezel on a DJ off it's Jubilee bracelet is not much more blingy than, say, the fluting going on around the Submariner's bezel.

In his case, he's got what I think is the most tool-like DJ being that it's all SS with a silver dial and markers, but I'd see him put it on a vintage leather strap, not nylon. I think it's the nylon that's not working. Leather should look as good as the one above.

I agree about the leather. I'm just saying that I think DJ's can work on nylon if they have the domed bezel (mostly just the silver, and maybe black, dials.)

C'mon guys, the Oyster isn't THAT bad with a fluted bezel is it? :) I know it's a bit sacrilegious but I love the combination:

...and I am also a big fan of Datejusts + leather:

So in summary, my Datejust is not that popular on TRF, :(

Sports watches yes.

Dressy watches...a nice leather strap maybe but a NATO is pushing it.

Just my opinion...

If you like it rock it.

I definitely prefer the leather look if not jubilee.
