Confused
I am now in the market to purchase a new Rolex, I am also very confused. I am a sport watch guy and very active, not sure which model would be best for me. I have been searching the Submariner, Sea Dweller and best of all the Deep Sea Sea Dweller, not sure if I totally like the wording around the face on the Deep Sea espically for the price. I also like big watches, any suggestions.

Check out the Explorer II. It's a little bigger than most Rolex sport watches at 42mm, and comes in a polar and black face.

SD4K would be my choice. I like the DSSD too but I think I'd eventually get tired of the size, and smashing it into every door frame, chair and countertop I walk by. SD is far more unique than the Sub... but if you like the larger lugs of the Sub I'd suggest the no date Sub, unless of course you rely on your watch for the date.

All the ones you named are great watches, and built like tanks. Any one of those pieces will keep up with you - your body will probably give out before they do. I'm a huge fan of the SD's, so it'll be SD, Sub, DSSD for me in that order.
Have you considered the Tudor Black Bays? |

Go for the Deepsea, you won't notice the writing.

the very very very best thing you cn do is go to an AD and try on ALL of them. They each fit and feel different. I bet after doing this, one sings more than the other two - that's your watch!

FWIW, I don't think you would notice the 'Original Gas Escape Value, Ring Lock System' on the DSSD dial over time. If you like the 44mm and thick(!) case size it's a great option. |

Try em all on! I would go with Sub or SeaDweller. The DSSD is enormous. I have decently large wrists, but that watch still looks big on me.

Try on several back to back...that's the best way. As for the wording on the DS, it's not nearly as prominent as those big blown up photos on the web suggest.
Big watches..I think lends itself to the DS and the EXP2...both great choices. |

The pics one sees accentuate the writing out of all proportion. It's not an issue |

So, if you like the Big Watch look and feel, go w/ the Sub Date 116610. As for me, I feel the 116600 Sea Dweller is perhaps the best looking and wearing sports watch they make! |
