BB - New riveted bracelet versus old normal

So I just saw some new shots of it on ablogtowatch and I must say based on the pictures it looks quite good.

Anyone tried it on yet? Thoughts?

I find it ugly compared to the current bracelet based on pictures. Although it has not arrived at my AD yet to view in person. I also think that most are more intrigued by the rarer eta version at the moment as the dial is more attractive and it had a short 8 month production run so it is somewhat exclusive.

It's an interesting addition and I can't wait to see it in the flesh, and compare it to my 50's original riveted oyster bracelet.
But I do wonder why they have introduced this very 50's feature when they've updated the dial to be less 'heritage'

My same thought. The throwback rivet design would have made more sense with the original Blackbay releases.

Either way, a modern riveted bracelet seems super cool.

Same here. And are they actual rivets, or is it just "rivet efect"?

From what I've read, they are faux rivet end caps.

Good point, modern dial with vintage looking bracelet. As far as I'm concerned the eta version is the best looking version

I do think the ETA version is better looking. I'm really going to miss the smiling "self-winding" text.

Yikes, that would be a terrible detail...

I like the rivets, real or perceived.

can anyone confirm if this new "rivet" bracelet will fit the rose dial black bay models?

tried to order the bracelet alone from AD and TUDOR USA says it is specific to the new models....

is this just a marketing statement to sell more watches? or are they truly incompatible?

they are both 22mm lug width and a 41mm case

I didn't want to be rude but I am not sure I believe that, unless Tudor actually went out of their way to engineer the fitting differently. Can anyone (in the know) confirm?

I would prefer to purchase from an AD but I will look elsewhere if I have to (if they indeed are interchangeable)

why the fuss? used to be no big deal to switch from oyster to jubillee, etc. that's part of the fun.

thanks!

I believe the case is thicker to accommodate the in house movement so maybe the endlinks had to be redesigned as well??? But I think it's better for someone with more knowledge to confirm that...

I am in the same situation, I like the new bracelet and would like to source one for my "Rose" Blackbay.

I went to an AD to check the new bracelet in person, I liked it a lot, and the sales guy was kind enough to test the rivet bracelet from a new in-house BB on a "rose/ETA" BB for me, and IT FITS PERFECTLY.

Obviously, the end links are different as the new bracelet has narrower centre links, but the complete bracelet fits just fine.

I just wanted to inform as there are some of us who actually like the rivets.
