My least favorite time of every hour

Hopefully the picture says it all :)

(Yes, I have puny wrists.)

Dude, you may need a smaller watch. Or, maybe it's just the angle. It looks like the lugs are hanging off your wrist. Nice Sub though!

I think it's probably OK, lots of room below and the camera fisheyes the size considerably from so close in.

I too have a habit of looking at my wrist for the date and this irks me too (double because at first i dislike being unable to see the date and secondly because I remember the date anyway so I scold myself for looking in the first place)!

Get a 36 mm Oyster Perpetual and that will solve both of your problems.

Get an Explorer. Then every hour will be a favorite.

Wear whatever you like.

Not sure but I think that you don't like when your date is covered by minute hand. Don't worry it last only for few minutes.

Back on topic :)

I totally see what you are saying! EDIT: Unless I totally misread what you where saying. In which case: Doh!

I find it really hard to warm up to the cyclops, useful as it may be. My first Rolex was a BLNR (impuse decision between it and the Sub), and while I did _get used to_ the cyclops fairly quickly, it is nevertheless something that just does not work for me. And one of the reasons is that I too dislike (among others) the look as the hands pass underneath it...

I have since flipped the BLNR for a Sub and could not be happier. (Though to be fair, the reason for flipping it had less to do with the cyclops per se and more with my rising desire to get the BLRO one day...)

On the other hand my long term plans may include a Smurf and perhaps a Hulk (not sure one needs both) as they do look absolutely stunning. So by the time I get to them (not anytime soon) I will need to figure out just how much of a deterrent the cyclops really is...

My least favorite time is when the hand(s) obscure the Rolex crown.

maybe he likes to see the date and this has nothing to do with the cyclops being there or smaller wrist (..really guys? a smaller watch to 'fix' a 'problem' that doesn't exist..?) nice watch!

OP, ignore the naysayers. The watch isn't centred on your wrist but it still looks superb on you. Maybe next time not take the pic so close to give more overall proportion.

Yeah, I actually realized it just after writing my comment, hence the EDIT allowing for the possibility that I misunderstood.

But my comment still stands if anyone is still interested in anything but Charlize :D

Personally, one of the things I dislike about the cyclops is that apart from it adding "clutter" to the dial it makes the hands look weirdly broken when they pass under it. I know this is a first world problem, but this site is about discussing who likes or does not like what about Rolex watches afterall :)
