Authenticate please? Not sure about back
Hi everyone,
I just bought this Rolex off of eBay from a credible seller (link here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/172249281315). The watch looks real to me except for the back case, which has "STAINLESS STEEL" engraved into it. I thought that Rolex watches only had plain case backs, so I am a bit concerned about this... The watch did come with a certificate of authenticity from watch spot.net. I know that the diamonds are not original to the watch but like them a lot, just more concerned that the case back was switched. The watch has a good heft to it and there's no ticking or weird sounds coming from it either. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much:) |

Credible seller? He has a feedback score of 52 and none as a seller. How is he credible?
Box is wrong for 1979, possibly a fake box all together. Certificate of authenticity is a joke. Stainless case back is correct on a gold capped case only. Post pics of the model number and serial number between the lugs and of the case back. Also post a pic of the back of the watch.

Incorrect box, case back is fine for this model and you know about the dial, otherwise it looks ok. Model 1550

There is no such thing as an "Original Genuine Rolex Refinished Dial"
As far as Rolex is concerned - its not genuine any more. I doubt that "authenticity" note is worth much? adam |

I'd love to know how someone with no feedback as seller is a "credible seller"

Give the guy a break we stated definition of a "credible seller" Its no point to restate it! Basically watch is OK - if buyer is happy with the stated obvious a |
