How does your Rolex sleep?
There seems to be no "wrong way" to put your Rolex down for the night. I am just wondering how everyone does it. I have been sleeping with mine on and I seem to lose 2 seconds a day. which I know is fairly normal.

My Explorer sleeps facing up to gain back at least 2 seconds (it tends to lose 1/2 seconds during the day when I'm wearing it) - Below are old ROLEX recommendations, including "simple regulating" tips

On my dresser at the end of the day before bed, often face up, sometimes face down. No real reason for which one. Then it's either back on the wrist in the morning, or onto a winder when I take something else out to wear.

Not very well, sometimes I have to sing and gently rock it to make it drowsy. When that doesn't work, Unisom does the trick.

I've been "positional regulating" lately so either dial up or crown up depending if I need to loose or gain time. Dial up gains about .75 seconds overnight and crown up looses about the same amount of time. I've gove over 100 days doing this and at the end my Sub was off by an entire second. Here's a current Watchtracker screenshot, 20 days and off by .3 seconds.

If it runs a little fast, crown down. A little slow, crown up.

I might have to get that app. Looks good. I need to gain a couple seconds so I think I will lay it face up tonight. |

Normally crown up!
Remember many years ago with my ex-girlfriend sleeping at night and was wearing my watch (Tissot) and she woke me up very angry with some blood on her face because I hit her just turning round on the bed!!! Since then I never sleep wearing a watch. |

I take out the one out that I'll be wearing for the next week or two; the rest are inside old socks in the back of the drawer--just in case the house is broken into.
