16610 band question
I heard somewhere that if the sides of the 16610 band are not polished like the side of the case then it is a fake. Is there any validity to this?
Thanks |

The sides of the band clasps are polished. I know, I have 3 subs and they are polished.

The sides of the links on 5 digit Subs are brushed. I have a 16613 TT Sub.
The sides of the 6 digit Subs such as my Hulk are mirror polished to match the sides of the case. Hope this helps you. |

Sub bracelet sides are satin (not polished, not brushed). However, it doesn't mean that the bracelet is fake. Most of the other Oyster bracelets are polished and they are completely interchangeable.

Any band can be polished to satin or high polished finish regardless of its authenticity... the polish on a watch is not an end all be all indicator...
