Submariner Hands and dial

It looks like the hands of my sub are a little darker the the hour markers..is this possible?? My sub is 96 non-date..Could the hands start to darken at a different rate than the hour markers?? They just don't look as white as the hour markers..

Yes, the hands may darken more than the indices, or the other way around..
