But a gold Daytona costs more than this, even if you discount the gold content. People will pay what they want to pay. Live and let live.

That's been the advertised price for several brick and mortar watch dealers for the past couple of months. They do sell fairly quickly.

No iffy waiting around on lists or hunting around, skipping any potential price hikes and it's a debut year watch. The premium over RRP is a drop in the ocean for some.

Or make that in 10 minutes. Give a speech to a Wall Street company, big pharma, oil execs, etc. Start a 'non-profit' Foundation or Organization.... easy money.

Ultimately thats Rolex fault. For insuficient availability of the model.

Those people sell double the price but they bought like everybody else..
.. so Big Brother Crown is not making anything out of this.

And if Crown doesnt get anything.. it means soon they are gonna kill this trick, by making tonas ready at the windows.

Just sit tight

If I converted right, that's about $20K + VAT?

I'd say that's a rise from the 18K figures seen here on TRF.

To be fair, stating that someome (seller or buyer) is "mad" does tend to insinuate a problem.

To how much money you have - obviously.

To some starving kid in Africa, the $10,000 I paid for my Daytona doesn't sound like such a great deal.

The seller is only mad until he sells it for that price. Then he's a genius

They are a very reputable and honourable firm. I have bought many pieces from them and sought advice on others and they are fantastic.

Keep in mind that $14,000 to some people is $14. If I had a daytona for every $14 drink I bought while out in NYC...I'd gift a daytona to everyone in this thread. :D

lol ,,, you can ask any price for anything ,,, getting some one else to pay it , well thats the trick.

anything is only ever worth what some one else can pay for it. ... note i said can , and not will pay for it.

times are changing

I was offered £12,000 cash for mine the day after I purchased it for the base cost .(£8250)...I politely declined. Will never sell it...it will be my son's after me.
