Before i pull the trigger .... help needed

So I have another option to the Brand new Sub C Date ( £5700)

Found a Rolex Sub C No Date 2015 with full set including receipt, remains of 5year warranty.

Negotiated a price of £4,500

My understanding is the No Date is a slightly rarer model, and I don't mind losing the Date.

Sorry for the questions, I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

in the back on my mind I'm trying to give myself a start to save for the Vintage Pepsi GMT.

If your budget permits you to get the Sub C Date, then get it. A sub is still a sub regardless whether it has a date or not at least thats what i feel. In my opinion the date cyclops on the crystal is what makes the sub look beautiful and screams ROLEX from across the room.

Prefer the no date. But by no means is it rare.

I would save the cash and get the 114060. The clean and balanced dial for me works as good or better than any other sub. I also own a Hulk, which has a date, and I don't mind but the 114060 is great.

I prefer new in this specific situation but prefer the no date sub currently. No wrong choice. Go with your gut.

Another thumbs up. Buy what YOU like.

I will say that the prices seem a bit high, but I know things cost more over on your side of the pond.

FWIW, I have the 114060 and I love it, but I also have subs with dates. I either already know what day it is, or don't care. If I'm wearing the sub no-date and I don't know, then I ask someone.

RRP for the 114060 is £5000 so i'd say go and buy a brand spanking new one for the sake of £500 and get that AD buying experience. If the savings were considerably more than I may consider a year old one.

In my opinion (and what I did) I went for the no date sub because I wasn't a fan of the cyclops. There is a lovely symmetry to the no date sub.

A year later I added a DJ

Good price, go for it, however as James says above if you think it is a keeper then I'd pony up the monkey and get it brand new.

Don't blow your brains out whatever you do, it's not worth it.

Get the Submariner for style and Submariner Date for usability. If you want rare, get an Only Watch or a custom personalised watch.

Enjoy the experience.

Not rare, and resale value lags the date model by more than the difference is msrp. However, the no date is the only modern SS sub I would consider owning.

Please keep something in mind. The rarest modern production Rolex isn't rare - at all. They make tons and tons of watches.

Take a second and breathe.

First of all, decide what it is you really want...then go after it.

And no, neither watch is rare, so take that out of the equation.

Funny you say that .... I was thinking I need to calm down a bit, and not pick this watch to save a few hundred here or there.

Just had a call from the AD holding the new Sub and I was shocked at the way he spoke to me. only yesterday I told him that due to the nature of my job (car sales ) my next day off is Tue and I said I would be in to see him, he was happy with this

Today he was quite rude and abrupt asking me when I'm coming in to pay as the watch is in . If I'm honest I have never been impressed with any AD rep I have came into contact with, they seem to lack the knowledge in the product... maybe its down to the amount of timewasters they get in on a daily basis.

Go with the no date IMO unless you absolutely need the date.....just a cleaner watch especially since you're getting a good deal on it. But yeah...not rare (if we're speakin of the 114060).
