Decision finally made....
So I have managed to come to a decision on my first Rolex purchase
After narrowing it down to the Sub C date and NON Date, I spent a bit of time with both watches and I am more drawn to the cleanness of the none date Time will tell if I miss the date function. Located 2 watches available right away at ADs in the west of Scotland, at the Rolex list price of £5000 , I've asked both for a 5% discount. One of the ADs advised me they done take a penny off the professional range and the other told me they are happy to look at any reasonable offer but wouldn't speak about this on the phone.... I respect that, and its something that I wouldn't do in my job. So tomorrow I make the trip to the AD, and hopefully I will be returning with my first Rolex. I did have an option on a pre owned no date 1 year old for £4500, but this would have involved sending the cash outwith Pay Pal to avoid fees or paying £4750 via pay pal.... I know the new deal is a no brainer.... even just so I can remove the stickers and have my own name on the card. Once again thank you for the help.... the hours and hours I have spent reading this forum has helped me massively.... god knows what I would have bought without the help of this community. I will post picture to this when I have the watch in hand. Regards |

The only thing that would sway me either way is the fact I like the Cyclops.

Congratulations. I hope the deal goes through for you. No bad choice or options. I think my ND Sub is the cornerstone of my collection. If you want a date latter pick up a Hulk.

Great choice! The 114060 is a staple in any collection. Love the reference!

I had the same dilemma. I'd wanted the Sub date for so long but after seeing it in the flesh it just wasn't for me. The clean lines and symmetry of the 114060 sang the most.
Good luck getting a discount on a SS Sub in UK though! |

I concur. The other thing about the no date is that it is only sub with no date. Down the road if you get a second sub, gmt, or datejust, it will have a date.

Yeah the thing that swayed it is my next targets being a 90s GMT or a Date Just
So having a date wont be an issue if I add one of these watches |
