Identify
Hello all,
I was recently passed down a watch that belonged to my great grandfather. I was wondering if anyone had any information on the watch? For example the model (presumably an Oyster Precision), what year is was made etc. I don't have a box but do have a leaflet. I haven't opened it up due to fears of breaking it (if it's even genuine) Thanks |

Between the lugs should be an engraving on the top and bottom with a model number and a serial number. Removing the spring bars will make that info easier to read. Unfold the end of a paper clip and push it through the holes in the lugs on the case, that will depress the spring bars to come out. Be careful, they are spring loaded and could shoot across the room. Im guessing its a late 50's model 6426. The first 3 numbers of the serial number will help us determine the year of manufacture. A pic of the back of the watch will help too.
