My First Rolex: Explorer 2016

Hello guys, today is a milestone for me as I just bought my first rolex!!!
Can't describe how happy I am now!!

Few months ago I posted about how I am in dillema between choosing DJII or SubC.. Now I finally decided and its not both of them.. Its the new Explorer, as I love the simplycity and sporty look at the same time, kinda like a fusion between value that I am looking for in DJII and Sub..

Today actually I have no intention to buy, but I went to AD nearby my office to check whether the new Explorer has arrived.. And actually they have it! The only one available (the new model has not been available in every AD yet, because this AD is boutique exclusive and the largest in Asia, the somehow have it)

In the end I paid the full price without any discount, since It is still rare here.. But its worth every single cent I spent.. Hopefully this watch will be my long last companion.. Thanks everyone for reading this!!

Looks great. Congratulations. I think the explorer, in every version, is a very classic looking watch that can literally be worn for all occasions. If your goal was to find a life long watch you certainly succeeded! Enjoy

Dam fine watch.

Reply to the WRUW daily post and show it off every day.

I am with you on the spot between a Sub and Date Just. When I was a lot younger I went for a sport / dress look Tissot with a black dial while my friend went for a Certina DS Diver.
