Day-date vs president

Oh what a ride its been. You guys have no idea what ive been through. Since getting my first rolex, a batman, ive been hooked. Devoured all the info i could and found myself buying a 2003 14060m about a month after. I put myself on the list for a 116500 a week after and got the call 2 days after. I immediately pounced on the opportunity and bought myself a second brand new rolex, a black ceramic daytona. Thinking i had too much of a spree decided on flipping the daytona for my first love, a dblue that was a few months old + a little over 5 grand in change. I know, i know. I just didnt think the daytona was for me yet. I think i prefer the zenith ones. I got all i wanted and im happy i got 3 good watches. Heres my question and im sure it could possibly the dumbest one on trf: what is the difference between a day date and a president? it seriously has confised me for a while now. Thanks gentlemen

Day Date is the correct model. LBJ used a DayDate, hence the nickname. The Day Date has been produced with an oyster bracelet, but the 'classic' Day Date bracelet was associated with the nickname, so it became the 'president' bracelet.

Day-Date is the watch, President is the bracelet type, like Jubilee, etc. When combined the whole package is usually referred to as a President.

The Ladies "President" is a Datejust with the President bracelet.

(Eisenhower had a gold Datejust with Jubilee)

Wait...you flipped a daytona c for a dblue and got or paid 5k difference?

Regardless, sounds like a nice collection you've got going.

If the DaytonaC didn't sing to you flipping at profit was the right move!

Nice, pretty sure you got a premium over MSRP based on market / hype for them!
