Need help JLC or B&R or another like it?

So I have been wanting a chronograph and these two seem to draw me in.

The JLC Deep Sea chronograph Q2068570 and the Bell & Ross BR126. I like the bezel of the JLC better. But also like the date feature of the B&R. Also I like the more plane appearance of the JLC as I'm not crazy about the 12 & 6 markers on the B&R. Neither pros or cons are deal breakers for either one. If anyone has any other recommendations I'm all ears. thing is must be auto no manual winding!! Also would like matte dial.
I had a speedmaster but the no date & manual wind just wasn't for me. Also had a IWC 3777 but it was a little thick & a hair to big feeling on the wrist.
Any input would be greatly apreciated. Thanks

Based on brand heritage and personal tastes I'd go with the JLC. They have some fantastic watches with excellent movements.

I'm with you on that.

Best part about B&R is the price at 2k new grey market vs 7k used for JLC. But again I'm sure you get what you pay for!

Still torn about the date though. It's what has kept me from buying a Daytona! I don't always need to know rthe date but 95% of my watches have it & im just so used to it!

Much as I like JLC, I would go with the B&R if you really want a chrono, because of the date function. I find it very handy at times. All my automatics (at least a dozen or more) have the date function. I wouldn't buy a watch without it.

Yeah I'm leaning that way. I really liked the Moonwatch I had but couldn't get over the date less so than the manual winding. That & price difference is nice!!

JLC is 10 times more interesting than the B&R
that aside, the B&R looks very nice too
but if price doesn't matter ... JLC all the way

Most of the co-axial versions of the Speedmaster have a date.
Just trying to confuse you more.

I looked at the speedmaster 57'. I like it but prefer a black bezel with minute or second markers than the speed markers.

After looking at it on Omega's site its 44mm. 42mm is as big as I like in that style watch. If to big then loses some of its charm.

JLC or the new Daytona ceramic, both are awesome and for the date you have your phone, I like having a date as well but with these two I can do without...

JLC all the way. I like the aesthetics better, the movement is technically superior, and the chrono pushers can actually be used underwater which is unusual. I guess dive watches with a chrono are unusual though. Of course if you're going purely on aesthetics and fit, then only you can decide. But there are several reasons for the price difference.

I also really like the newer Omega bicompax chronos, and own one in fact. I'm bugged by tricompax chronos with date windows at 4:30, doesn't jive with my need for symmetry, or flat-out German style asymmetry.

so another one in the mix after some searching is the speedmaster broad arrow. Looks like it was 42mm with date & auto. Prices on them seem to be between the JLC & B&R. Just have to see if I can find one local so I can check it out.

I'd really like JLC, but I also need my watches to have a date feature. If you can get over it, I'd also look at the JLC Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph, as it shares a lot of design elements with the B&R. Good luck.

I'm a huge JLC fan so I say JLC... overall it looks so much nicer than the B&R IMO. Date is no issue for me though...

I've been thinking about "upgrading" my Speedy to this exact JLC... love it, love it!

JLC without a doubt .
Ever consider a used VC overseas chrono with big date ?
I think it would fit what you are looking for nicely albeit you would have to spend a bit more.

Can't compare the two. JLC hands down and all the way. B&R is not in the same universe.

Wow you guys are total enablers!!! I was trying to find a cheaper option to the JLC but now I feel like if I don't get one I'll be letting you all down!!! Lmao.

Would the JLC be durable everyday watch? Just curious before I really start searching for one.

I think so, its a good size (42mm) sport watch to be worn everyday... I would even wear it with a suit... wouldnt do that with the B&R. B&R has a very specific style... its either you love it, or its "eh".

I just honestly think if you get the B&R, you'll wind up flipping it soon. To me, that JLC is special.

i have never thought of Vacheron in the all around watch kinda way? Not sure why I guess I when I think Vacheron I think of there dress watches. I do like VC's dress stuff & the 1921 historique is stunning. Thank goodness for my wallet I wear a suit twice a year if I'm lucky hell I only wear collared shirts a dozen times a year!!! Lol

Yeah that's kinda what I think too. Was hoping that this latest need would be under 4K but I should have known better!!! Lol.
I don't wear suits much at all but I also think the JLC can be dressed up or down. That was one thing I liked about my Moonwatch. It was great with shorts or a tie!! Having to wind it & no date made it short lived in my collection.
