Question Regarding Deepsea Bezel

a question guys regarding the bezel of the deepsea...just found that the bezel when pressed down does play a little bit by around 2 to 3mm on all sides. is this normal?

thank you in advance for the answers!

From what I understand it is completely normal. All moveable bezels have some play! Of course, if you are unsure that the amount of play is abnormal, take to your Ad for inspection

My subs bezel has approx one mm of play, but three mm sounds like a gap. Do you have any pictures?

Yes, it's normal. The ceramic bezels "float" on three ball bearings and they all have some give to them.

I think some of us have a different concept of a mm.

Sorry, the Engineer in me wanted to get this right.

I measured my recently acquired DSSD Blue with a caliper and it moves 0.25mm.

I also tried to measure the "gap" between the bezel and the case, the place where fine sand can get in. I only have some feeler stock to try. The .125mm (0.005") slides in and the 0.20 (0.0075") does not. So the gap is somewhere around there.

Yeah.
If he's got 2-3 Mil, then there's a serious problem with his watch

Personally I never measured it but I always thought it was somewhere in the vicinity of <0.010".
Thanks for taking the time to gauge it

The play is totally normal, u can literally push the bezel down on the DeepSea. My last one and current one both did this... I almost feels like a click, I was told there are ball bearings inside that create the gap, also it's part of ring lock system...
