Rolex Daytona 116515 Owners

Hi I was wondering if any owners of the 116515, ie rose gold on leather strap, Daytona owners could give me their feedback on wearing this watch as a dress piece? How does it look/feel in a suit? I think it would go great, nice watch for a wedding or special event. How do you feel? Thanks.

Not an owner either, but I feel like this would look great in all but the most-formal of settings.

Wow a beautiful watch, thanks for this. This is the dial combo I am considering. Weighing it against a YG day date as my PM rolex piece. Always wanted the President but this one is making it tough!

I bought the 40mm YG DD but had an issue with 2 of them with the erratic day/date change. And was not prepared to accept Rolex opening it up to add the "fix" After all it was an expensive watch and should work "out of the box".

My AD agreed to a refund and saw this Daytona in their display case. Tried it on and ...... Well it's now in my collection

Congrats! I am actually looking at a 36mm Day Date so no issues there, but this one with Ivory dial is really exceptional. As I have said in other posts this is the ceramic Daytona to get excited about! I know I will only wear the DD in certain situations, I think the Daytona will be much more versatile. Tough decision. Gotta post one more pic of that beauty.

I think it will be a fantastic watch for all occasions. Been thinking about trading up from a 116520 for a while now

hi
the only thing I have found is the strap [ I have a brown strap ] ,,,,in hot weather I sweat more, than if wearing a stainless watch,,,,,,,,,,,and it marks the strap.

Yes can definitely be worn in either dress or casual setting. I have mine on a plain black Rubber B strap, which looks great IMHO and can be worn with a suit or bathing suit :)

Neil: I'm not a yellow / rose gold fan, but have to say that's a real good looking PM Daytona

Am right now wearing the cream dial version and it looks great with suit or dress casual-ish. Also have the Rubber B band with red stitching and that's nice, yet the stock leather really does bring it up to an elegant visual styling.

I was thinking about buying one of these, since its the only gold Daytona with a ceramic bezel, and switching out the leather strap for a gold bracelet but the AD said that it was not possible to switch out the strap for a bracelet.

In my pursuit of the ever elusive SS Daytona Ceramic, I was fortunate to realize this is the better Daytona for me. With the predominance of SS Rolexes in my collection, it's high time for a PM. The heft of the rose gold case and clasp contrasted by the black leather strap and ceramic bezel makes this one the most beautiful Daytona in my book. There's no wrong choice here in all available dials. I chose chocolate after much self-debating simply because it's unique and sings the most.

Like all previous posts, the Daytona 116515 fits all occasions and attires. I wear it daily in my rotation with smart casual, suits, and T-shirt/shorts.

Have the creme dial version.... with that said just buy a brown strap or have one custom made. Very easy plus you make the watch your own
