Second Rolex
Only after 6 months of getting my first Rolex (114060 SubC ND), I already have an itch to pair it with a second one. Interested in primarily SS sport models but wouldn't mind one that I can dress up a bit more than the Sub. The two in the running are BLNR vs. YMI blue dial.
I wear a fair bit of blue to work and it is my favorite color. I am so torn between these but my gut tells me that the YM is the "sensible" choice as the GMT is quite similar to the sub in appearance. But that blue/black bezel tho... But what about that blue dial... Of note, I am not a frequent world traveler nor do I go on yachts or dive. What would YOU do? |

I would go with the BLNR, just because I'm not the biggest fan of the YM and I love the BLNR bezel.
But either way, something tells me you can't make a wrong decision here. |

I'm not a fan of "colored" watches, but I think my BLNR is stunning. I do travel Internationally and the GMT is a blessing. Even if I never traveled, I'd wear the GMT.

I love the GMT complication, so BLNR.

Thanks for the input so far! Lots of votes for the BLNR as expected. Still think that YM should get more love than it does on these forums.. Not interested in DJ..

BLNR
I never have used the GMT hand either. But also never dove 300 meter with my sub Buy what is appealing to you the most. Unless you do yacht racing Good luck

If you wear lots of blue a TT bluesy is in order. With the gold, dial color and cyclops I have convinced myself it is different from my 114060.

Easy choice here!!! You already have black dial and the sub and GMT are pretty close to say the least... YM blue for some color. Personally id flip the sub for the BLNR and get the YM blue....that's me

In retrospect, I probably should have gone this route from the beginning. But that is part of the process from what I can tell being on these forums. So maybe I can flip the sub and pay up for the BLNR now get the YM later. Or get the YM now, enjoy a different looking watch and flip the sub at some point for the BLNR.. decisions decisions

This is how I solved my dilemma.... As above, flip the Sub and get both. You won't regret it!

This is a tough tough choice between the 2. I am inclined to lean on the BLNR because it's a more toolish watch (features ceramic bezel for wear etc).....not to mention it's handsome as hell (the most handsome imo in modern line up). On the other hand.....the YM with blue dial.....is spectacular but I don't think as versatile......such a hard choice! As TimeRookie suggests....both is certainly the best option here...just take your time to save.

Between the BLNR and YM blue dial, I'd go YM all day long.
I think the YM (blue and platinum dial) is a fine piece. Very comfortable and beautiful to look at. A good friend of mine has the blue dial version and I had the chance to wear it for a day or two and really liked the fit and feel. Admittedly I'm not a huge GMT fan, as I find the fourth hand a bit distracting, seems to clutter up the dial too much for my liking. I'm sure that perception could change with time if I owned one and wore it daily......but have yet to attempt it.
