Real or Fake

Recently bought this from a member here, won't mention any names, and it ended up being the wrong model. It was sealed in original bubble pack. Any scratches were done by me because it wasn't the right one. Now I'm trying to resell and it's being pulled. Any help would be appreciated.

Was the package opened when you bought it? What model were you buying for?

Does not look like a 16700 insert which should be for a sapphire model. I dont like the insert at all! The spacing between the edges and numbers does not look right.

Look at the back of what it should look like:

Package was sealed. I did a explorer ii to gmt conversion. So really was sure about reference numbers.

Link you sent wasn't for 16700, the one I have is definitely less flat.

Look again to include the reference numbers on yours and the other package, the same.

Lastly, look at another one - sealed - and look at the back.

The insert is not genuine...100% aftermarket. There is no way this insert was in a sealed Rolex blister pouch. I'm not buying that story at all...sorry.

That is a totally different insert in the blister pack. That one in this thread is genuine. . . http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...ht=16700+pepsi

So, you bought a genuine insert in a blister pack, and now you are selling a totally different insert claiming it is the one you originally purchased in this thread http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...ht=16700+pepsi.

Give us a break...

Please do not defame my character ... I bought an item here and it was pulled for not being real. Put up here to find real answers, not to be critiqued by you people. I didn't pull switch a roo , this is the exact insert that was sealed in the exact package.

I can see from this picture that you say you bought from, and the picture you show in your first post, are different inserts.

The spacing at the bottom of the numbers is completely different.

Look at OP's 4th photo (opening thread)
Look at the "8" of "18"
No way the blue would fill the whole of the top part of the "8" and only 90% of the bottom part!
On genuine the blue fills the whole of the 8 holes.

Sorry, that post from 2010 does not wash with me.
I never saw an original Rolex bezel where the colour changeover was not exact?

Anyway, that is my take.
If you believe its 100% Rolex genuine - great

There were just 5 examples where they aren't exact.
