New pick up today
2nd baby step into vintage Rolex, and this is a cheapie but I like the styking and how it wears on the wrist. And for only USD1400 I think it's ok given the generally state of the watch...un-polished case with only superficial wear marks, spotless dial and even the bracelet has minimal droop and the endlinks are one of the best I've seen.
I was hoping I'd find a black dial varient to compliment my 16014 better...but then again you can't have everything, right? Sent from my SGP771 using Tapatalk |

Quite rare to see this watch in that pristine condition inside out. Congrats.

Thanks all guys, yes I'm quite happy with it. It's a 8.5 mil serial so circa 1984? The guy I bought it from had it since 2005 and never serviced it...so while it's running it's gaining a bit too much, 30 sec a day. I'll be dropping it off at the RSC tomorrow for a full service.

New pick up today
A great looking 6694. I have its sister from another mister in just as nice condition. One of my favorite watches to wear!

And yes, both the 16014 and this 6694 are so comfortable on the wrist...at times when I wear my 216570 I'd wish it was a bit lighter. a watch is meant to be worn |

An OysterDate Precision is one enormous bang for your bucks ...
I totally rate the 6694 - such a cool watch and the characteristics just scream vintage Rolex. Two great examples shown on this post too.
The tactile pleasure of the manual wind is cool - allows a WIS to really bond with his time--piece each day |

Got her back from RSC a few days back, gaining a couple seconds a day so I'm really glad I picked this up!

Thanks mates!
Hope I don't seem trolling... I'm just so happy about this piece I thought I'd share my joy here. I know it's nothing fancy but at the same time it's not everyday you find such a clean piece at this age. a watch is meant to be worn |

What a beautiful vintage watch! As the sports references continue to soar to ridiculous, often unrealistic, prices, it's nice to know that some classic Rolexes are still relatively affordable. I just wish these guys were 36mm!! The 34mm cases just don't look right on my wrist.
