1520 Movement Information
Hi all
Can anyone tell me how many parts are in the 1520 movement used in the 5513)? Some other watch-makers seem to be quite open about this information, but struggling on the Rolex front. Also, anyone know what the power reserve on 1520 is? Cheers

The 1520 in my 5513 ran about 46 hours last time I tested it.

I'm not going to count the parts and have not found a number of parts either. Why is it relevant?

Simply for gathering reference data out of interest. I was simply asking if the information was in the public domain like some other watch companies. Clearly not.

Not as far as I know, we use an app made for Rolex watchmakers with all the information needed (lubricants, assembly, tools needed, etc.) but have not seen any information on amounts of parts in movements. If it was on there I would have told you.

I read somewhere once that there were 220 total components in a 3135 movement but no idea where that info came from or whether it was accurate.

Could be true. Here's a picture of a 3185 from when I took it apart, it has just a few parts more.
