Help with my DeepSea
Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me out. I have owed a Dssd for about 3 years now. Today I just noticed I can feel the movement when I swing my wrist. So I took the watch off and tapped it against my hand and now I can hear it aswell as feel it. I've just moved from the east coast to a tropical climate but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. It's still keeping great time.
Many thanks |

It is normal that you feel the movement.
If it keeps time and tbe power reserve is ok then I wouldn't worry |

I'm pretty sure the move from the east coast to SD has nothing to do with it.
If it worries you just take it in for a check up. |

Thanks guys. I know moving did not do it but I was wondering about the humidity on Guam. I'll swing by the ADs office and see what he had to say. Many thanks

If the humidity did have anything to do with it, you would have a bigger issue with the watch not being water worthy.

I had a very similar problem with a DSSD a few years ago. When shaken lightly in the hand you could hear the rotor rattle and vibrate. It occurred just before it was 2 years old so it went back under warranty and as someone else has suggested the rotor had come loose, apparently there is a small slide beneath the weight that holds the rotor onto the movement, this had simply worked its way loose causing the weight to wobble and make contact with the case back and movement. The function of the watch wasn't affected but it was a disconcerting noise to hear.

My DSSD is doing the same. I can hear it when shaking the watch. Mine has also started to loose it's power reserve but I'm not sure if this is related or not. A 2008 model so it is due for an overhaul so I will be sending to the RSC soon for an overhaul.
