Replacement Warranty Card

I bought a New Blue Black Ceramic GMT II, which is awesome! Wanted it since it's debut and finally had enough money put aside to go buy it.
I didn't realize that the warranty was no longer paper, but now a plastic card with a magnetic strip.
I kinda liked the old paper warranty. Reminded me of an old stock certificate.

Well it's a moot point now. Regardless, When I bought my GMT II Pepsi, back in 2002, the AD wrote my Name and the Date of Purchase on the paper warranty. His handwriting was excellent and I never thought twice about it.

So of course when I bought my New GMT Ceramic, I was a little taken aback at the poor penmanship of the salesman who filled out the warranty card.
I found it to be a bit juvenile. It never even occurred to me to ask, or be aware of this.

I am not going to go back to the AD, and mention this... It's not me, and I think it is in poor taste to point out someone's handwriting, but I would like to have a New Warranty Card, that either is not filled out, or is written by someone else, even myself, with better penmanship.
So the question is simple...

Can I get a replacement Warranty card for this new watch? And how would I go about this?
I'm sure there are more than a few of you who know this answer.

Thanks in advance.

This just seems like a very petty issue. You should enjoy your watch. To answer your question, I do not think for one second they will give you a second warranty card.

You can. I know there is a cost associated with such. Thought I heard $50???? But you have to go back to the AD. If it bothers you that much and you don't want to be "that guy" maybe go back to your AD and tell them you lost the card and want a replacement and are willing to pay for it. See what they say.

Are you looking at the watch or the warranty card?

You got to be joking surely and to answer your question no you cannot get a new card as the warranty
is swiped like a credit card and don't care if the hand writing was written by a alien from Mars.

You spent a lot of money on this watch and you want everything to be perfect. I understand this. However, the handwriting on a warranty card really should not be an issue.

Enjoy the watch...

For something that's just stuck a drawer and most likely never needed, can't say I'd care too much myself, and my suggestion is to just put it away and move forward. Even if needed, it'll do the job.

Out of curiosity, can you post a pic so we can see how bad this is?

Honestly not that big of a deal. It'll still be accepted for service and it won't impact the value at all

When my wife and I bought her DateJust, the sales lady wrote the wrong name on the card....wrong first name - correct last name.....and she was copying it off my wife's credit card....or supposed to be.
When i bought my last one in Germany, the sales lady had me write my name on the card, so that there were no mistakes...which was wise : )

OK, so I tend to be easier on these type of "issues" than some other members, but this really is not a big deal. I agree with all above. I'd just forget this and enjoy your watch for sure.

That said, I had an AD fill out the wrong year on a warranty card once. Honest mistake, but of course I wanted it to be filled out with the correct information. I had to give the AD the original card which had to be sent to Geneve directly from the AD. I believe it cost them about $50 and it took more than 3 months for me to get my card back in hand.

So as far as I know, from my experience, that's the route you'd have to take. No other way.

I don't have the post count or history that you have but I still think it's a great forum.

I just transform frustration to humor, and voila, things become great again

Thanks for all the warm responses. I really appreciate the time it took for a simple question to be answered. Next time I won't bother to give any back story and keep the conversation more sterile. Sorry to disturb all of you from your more pressing conversations.

Sorry you are disappointed with the responses.

If you are not willing to go back to the Authorized Dealer to resolve this, then perhaps you should contact Rolex directly and ask them

Get some white sprit, give it a good clean, then write it out yourself! Once the warranty runs out that piece of plastic ain't worth your name that's written on it!

I'd be shocked if RUSA would give you a new card. If so, every single person who sells a watch would be asking for a new blank card.

Not a big deal.

When the AD was writing my dad's name on his warranty card last year, he wrote an "A" instead of an "E" and then just wrote over it to correct it.

Doesn't look great, so I somewhat understand, but what can you do. Let it go and enjoy the watch. It's not like you keep the card in the your wallet and are constantly reminded of this injustice.

Next time I suggest asking the AD if you can write your name yourself.
