Some advice

Hi All

I am wanting to join the Rolex world after recently selling a Breitling. I am stuck between a few watches which I really do like and was wondering in a few years time, which will hold their value?

The watches I have decided between are:

Sub Date
GMTII Black
Yachtmaster Rose Gold and steel 40mm

I am really edging towards the Yachtmaster, I think it looks a lot classier than the other two, but the GMTII is a stunning watch as well.

Thanks

You should get the watch that you want.

Speculating on what will be in a dozen years is a fruitless exercise.

The stainless steel watches hold there value pretty well. I would say the sub or gmt ii both will hold there value about the same. Maybe the sub a little bit better.

If possible, go to an AD and try them on. Don't rely on photos. Strange things can happen once to get it on. Also take photos of it on your wrist. Most importantly, take your time.

It is a Rolex; don't worry, the value will be retained.

More important is for you to determine which model is best for you.

Buy the one you love most altho the RG will hold value the least, and if poss buy before Oct and possible price rise here.
