Thoughts on this Oyster Perpetual Air King
I've found this watch on ebay and was wondering if you guys think it's a good deal.

Hi and Welcome to the forum here.
It's always nice to younger enthusiasts starting out. I guess the first question is...Do you like the watch? It's hard for us outside the UK to equate the price now with the pound so down against the dollar and Euro...when basically it still buys the same thing in your country. I think personally at the traditional rate of the pound to dollar this is a high price for this watch. Being Steel and 18k it's also not as desirable often times as a solid stainless version. Not always...it would have more value slightly but might be harder to sell. If I were transferring pounds to dollars at the current rate it's not horrible...but at the old rate...it's too much for me, so with that in mind compared to what that much money will still buy there...it might be a no go. Don't be in a hurry...look around...compare quality as well as price...and over all buy what you like! Then you are never disappointed. |
