Such an invaluable tool!!! There are many variations, amongst Victorinox and Wenger. Which one do you have in your pocket, and how have you used it? I carry the Victorinox Super Tinker. Post your pics if you got got 'em!!

I carry a small Victorinox with me all the time. I think it is called "Classic," but I am not sure. I prefer it to the Wenger, because it has a screwdriver in combination with the nail file. The Wenger has a sharp point.

I also have the monster Victorinox that I take with me on occasion.

I use many pocket knives because of my job. I have 6 Victorinoxs and I use them all depending what I will do and my mood. One of them is a collector’s edition that has around 100 tools on it. It is huge and is intended only as a collector’s item. Very heavy to carry around but it has been very handy in the house. Other is the SwissFlash 2 GB. I have one that comes with pliers. A have a SwissChamp, and two basics which I don´t remember the name. I have a history to tell. One of my Victorinoxs comes with a lighter. I bought it here in Mexico. The lighter stopped working and I took it to Houston to get repaired. I called Victorrinox service center and told them about the problem. The girl who attended my call says that that pocket knife was intended for the Latin market only and that having a knife with a lighter in the USA was illegal so they can´t repaired for me. Could you believe it? I was surprised and decided to leave that knife at home.

The red one is from the mid 70's when I was a kid and the black one is from when I was in the army in the mid to late 80's.

BTW, does anyone ever compare the quality between Victorinox and Wenger. Which one is better in terms of sharpness, durability, materials, workmanship?

I have a Victorinox Swiss Champ XLT pictured below with my Dweller.

A superb resource that travels almost everywhere with me and is used all the time away from the home. The most used tool is that tiny cleft blade for removing stones out of horse's hooves

Hanging out in good company...............

I much prefer the quality of Victorinox over Wenger. I recieved a Wenger once as a gift and thought it was such a POS it was soon relegated to my tackle box.

I carry the Swiss Champ. I've had it for the last 10+ years. Wonderful knife, does everything. Only problem I have with it, is the scissors have snapped off about a year ago. Other then that it's taken everything I've thrown at it.
As far as that other monstrosity of a knife, that knife is actually in the guinness book of records as the Worlds Largest Swiss Army Knife. Then, you have to ask yourself, when the knives get that big, how would you carry it around in your pocket ?? How would you use the tools on it, and turn the screwdriver, or knife, etc. etc. That's just WAY TOO big.

...... I always carry mine..... bought for me in Switzerland by my Mother in 1995.... carry it in an old Leatherman pouch.... with a Maglite Solitaire to shed some light on the situation....... :-)

I carry a Maglite Solitaire all the time. Rolex, Victorinox, Maglite--great stuff.
