Offered at $5750 USD We are always open to offers and trades. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or by calling (213) 293-0555 or visit www.craftandtailored.com The champagne "Wide Boy" pie-pan dial on this 1969 Ref.1803 Day-Date is unique and very rare. Rolex produced this dial on a very limited basis and for a very short period of time. The "Wide-Boy" name comes from the oversized stick or almost block like markers and the extra wide hands sometimes referred to as "cigarette hands". The original and very interesting features of this dial are that dial does not possess any tritium lume. This variant is referred to as a "non- luminous dial". The wide boy dial is rare and the non-luminous version is even rarer! The other unique and the additionally intriguing fact is that even though the dial lacks lume it is still signed T Swiss T at the 6 o'clock position, which is a key element for this specific and elusive dial / hand configuration that was a factory offering from Rolex.
