First Rolex - Finally made the decision!

Hi guys, :)

Some of you might remember me from a while ago. I had an extremely hard time deciding between the Sub date and GMT BLNR. It took me several months to make up my mind. Finally, the decision has been made and the purchase has been completed. If you remember, I decided to go with the BLNR, later making a thread about the size of the Sub as I was unsure if I made the correct decision choosing the BLNR. This went back and forth - between the Sub Date and BLNR.

Well, let's wrap it up now. Which one did I go for? Well, see for yourselfs...

I actually went with the classic Sub Date and I couldn't be happier! I took my time at the AD, making my mind clearer as time went on. After an about an hour, I was on my way out of the store with the Sub on my left wrist.

I'm glad that I went with the Sub. It's been the watch that I've wanted since five-four years back, I mostly started glancing on the BLNR because of it's popularity. Yes, the BLNR is indeed an excellent watch that I'd actually like to complement my collection with in the future, but it didn't quite make it to be my first Rolex. The sizing of the Sub worried me mostly, especially because of my minimal wrists. The salesman actually offered to adjust the bracelet of the Sub to help me decide. After he adjusted it, it felt perfect! The hanging longer (Glidelock) clasp made it look bigger than the BLNR. Whilst the BLNR could easily hide beneath my cuff unadjusted, the Sub couldn't as its clasp wasn't really able to get in there. Although, I made up my mind - at last...

I'd also like to thank you guys! The expertise of this forum's members (and your patience, for standing out with me) helped me a lot. Well, now I'm finally a member of the Rolex club! :D

Congrats! I'm really happy about your name and avatar. I have no idea about who or what a Lord Tomato is; but I like it! And that Sub...

You cannot go wrong with this choice! As a first and only Rolex you don't want anything that you may get tired of looking at such as the black/blue bezel.

You made the right choice. I had the BLNR and I don't miss getting rid of it. I've also gotten rid of my Submariners and I always go back to them! Stunning
