BLNR or White 116520 swap for 116622 or not
Hi all!
Your advice and opinions please! I have a 2016 BLNR and a 2012 Daytona. I have fallen for the 116622 but can't really justify adding to my watches (I also have a 16610LV but I don't want to let that go) so one of the above needs to go. I have been offered a direct swap for my BLNR for a blue dial 116622 (2014) or I pay £1000 on top for a 2016 rhodium dial (love it!) Or I've been offered £8500 cash for the Daytona or money and the yachtmaster. Blue dial 116622 is £6300 and rhodium £7300. a) which should I change or should I not? b) why is the yachtmaster unloved compared to the others? I am most tempted by the BLNR option as I know it's a hot watch right now but 8 months back I could have bought one at a discount (grey not AD) Why I'm tempted by the Daytona option is because I know the Daytona is now discontinued but it's still pretty common and I bought mine 2 years ago for £6500. Is the Daytona suddenly so hot again because of the 116500? (The 116500 black dial will be added to my watches as soon as my AD gets one in) I personally think the value of the 116520 has reached its peak for now but correct me if you think I'm wrong. I really like the Yachtmaster.....! Thank you all |

Wouldn't be a swap I'd do but if you like the YM go for it.
The BLNR in my opinion is a keeper. |

Let me be the contrarian here and say keep the Daytona. But as long as you get what you are jonesing for, there's really no wrong choice since both watches that you currently have are "keepers" in my book.

Swap the Daytona for the rhodium YM and £1,200.
You've said you're going to buy a ceramic daytona anyway so why have 2? That way you'll end up with a Sub, a GMT11, a YM and a Daytona. Sounds like a good mix ps - The daytona cost you £6,500, you're selling it for £8,500 and getting £1,200 cash In other words if you swap the Daytona for the YM and cash the YM has cost you a net £3,300.

Definitely get the YM, great color to add to the collection. And it's incredibly comfortable!! If the Daytona is a black dial also pick your favorite between BLNR and Daytona and swap one of them. That's my .02, the YM has been a pleasure to own.

Thanks to all. The ceramic Daytona I'm getting is a black dial. I think I agree with devil dog... to have a sub, gmt, Daytona and ym will be nice. And when I think about it for some reason my Daytona gets least worn.

Never give up a steel Daytona. I don't care what your opinion is of it, in 50 years (for all we know) it could skyrocket for no real reason. Keep the BLNR. You've got a great collection so far. Don't give up either.
