I'm torn !

Hi all- looking for some opinions, I tried on a smurf
today and it is really great. I already have a BLRO, BLNR
and a Subc.
I was thinking if I bought the smurf , I might flip the Subc but
I am really torn as I love that watch.
Would you trade the subc and move up to the smurf , keep both ,
or keep the subc and forget the smurf ? I'm not sure how
much wrist time the subc would receive.
I have other options as well- 5711, speedy, etc.

IMO, the SubC should be a keeper.

Direct lineage to the original bad-ass watch. You can't really get any more iconic than a Sub.

I think they can easily coexist, but I'd go for a smurf plus 114060, just to add something a bit different.

Keep the subc and maybe go with the patek instead of the smurf. I asked a similar question regarding if i should add a subc to the collection i had (subdate 16610, gmt black, DSSD, DJ41tt, Pan233 and got told to branch out a bit. Maybe this is what you should do. Although you can't go wrong with a sub.

I love blue and dig all your models, but that is a lot of blue in the collection. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but I would miss an all black Sub in my collection.

doesn't seem anymore redundant than having a BLNR and a BLRO.

SubC and the smurf would be great !!! :)

I'd let go of the BLNR and put those funds towards the Smurf. You already have a BLRO, so why not.

I should have mentioned I already have the 5711, Speedy etc. Wristtime is getting rare and wouldn't mind dropping a few pieces. Or
maybe the smurf is not needed, but I really love it. Such problems!

Here is what I would do, sell all of them and get the smurf and be done, use the extra money for a nice vacation.

I traded my 116610LV for the 116619 and don't regret it one bit.

If I were you I would trade in the SubC and BLNR, get the 116619 and have money ready for whatever comes next.

Personally I would go for the smurf as it's my favorite but the sub c is such a classic it's a tough choice.

If I had a subC and the cash to buy a smurf, I'd probably buy a car instead. But I like the sub c better.

Sell the subC and get a 114060 with the smurf; the perfect sub pair!

Incoming next week! Thanks for the great advice TRF- always helpful to get a lot of thoughts- Subc is gone. Can always pick another one up or my drean Red sub. BLNR hanging on by a thread and have some more consolidation to do!
Car incoming as well btw!

I like the way you think

OP, you already said you love the smurf and that you want to get rid of some watches. The ss subc is not rare and can be easily replaced if you regret selling yours. If you do miss your ss sub in the future, the 114060 is a great option.

I'm torn !

I would get rid of the BLNR, get a 114060 sub (instead of the sub-c) and the smurf. With your BLRO and others you will have it covered.

I was just reading through the thread and it looks like you already decided in the 116619, you will love it! You can always find a subc later if you miss it. Can't wait to see the pics and also of the car incoming. For now, here is my smurf for you to visualize until yours arrives!

Very very nice, and thanks for making me salivate a little more!!!!!
The car will be a month or two for delivery, not like some of the babies I've seen on TRF but will work nicely for the family. I'm pretty psyched though.
