A parent should never have to outlive their child (Carrie Fisher in this case). RIP Ms Reynolds.

That's terrible news.

"Singing in the Rain" remains one of my favorite films to this day.

Although surely the cause, I don't think "broken heart" will be indicated on her death certificate. What a sad couple of days this has been. Rest in peace.

Lets hope the queen does not complete the set, given she did not make the usual Christmas services and is said to be unwell.

Certainly not a good year for music!

Very sad however the cold hard facts of the matter is that people die. Such is the celebrity culture it today's world it strikes me that we like to immerse ourselves in pity when one "star" or other dies whilst ignoring the facts that so many are taken away from us on a daily baisis more often than not as a result of indiscriminate acts of war or man made violence. I find it ironic that no one pity's these people but instead prefer a faux out pouring of grief for celebrity. If some are to be believed the year needs to end now before "another" is taken from us to the big music/tv studio in the sky! I'm sorry for Mrs Reynolds family in what must be heartbreaking circumstances but she was 84 and hundreds if not thousands of others died today too.
