Ready to go for it- what do you think?

Lucked out today and found this one in town the day before it was set to go on sale, looks like a good late Christmas present no?

Hard to ever call it a "deal" but for a completely full set I think we got to a fair number.

Not a flat 4 and not engraved, not sure why price is high. Would you be able to share some details?

All true...it's a full set (box, papers, even the bezel cover) and has been worn minimally, bezel is in great shape and no issues on the case. Actually thought the price seemed fair given what else I've seen out there.

Missed the reply where you said it was a complete set, that changes things! I guess it's not so bad after all

The thrill of a "deal" lasts the day, but the thrill of the watch lasts a lifetime. Wear it in good health and enjoy!

First, it has to be love, then price ( raided verifying its original and has all its pieces together, reflecting the sale price). If all is in order then go for it. Otherwise pass. Be rational about the purchase. It a mass produced luxury item after all. Having said that, great choice...

I think price is fair and although it is technically mass produced the 16610lv had a fairly short run and was an allocation piece 👍

Lol - Mike, I was sitting right next to you at the store when you were looking at it, I was picking up a strap for a Explorer II while Hamra gets a 78790a in for me from Rolex, after you left they told me what it was and asked me what I thought they should charge for it:-) small world.

It is something I'd keep forever. There won't be more legit 50th Anniversary Subs made so I predict value could double over time.

BTW - they told me it was a mint piece with everything (I didn't ask to look at it), I was working with Peter the owners nephew - the price you mentioned, all in, is better than they were talking about after you left - you are getting a good price.

It seems to me that the difference between an average price and a good price is only a few hundred dollars... and finding a nice watch that pushes your buttons is more than worth that rather small amount of money.

Congrats!

Love that variation, not a bad price in my humble opinion. Can't wait for the wrist shots!
