New 15450
They will now come in black and blue dials
https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/ne...on-highlights/ I was hoping the 15450 would eventually come with a blue dial since my wrists are too small for a 15400 |

Why are they considered novelty now? Any difference?

Blue dial to the 15450 is probably my favorite thing they did this year. Closest to a new 15300 blue you can get.

Is this blue going to be like the jumbo or the 15400? Hopefully its not a boutique only piece. Would really like to see this in person

7.75 wrist here. 38MM PP Calatrava is my daily driver. I would seriously look at a 15450. The optics of this watch probably makes it wear more like a 39mm case.
I had a 15400. At 41 mm it wore more like 43, too big for the type of watch it is IMHO.... |

Any news on whether or not it's going to be a boutique only piece?

I imagine this 15450 wears perfect, similar to a Daytona. Bingo hopefullly not boutique only otherwise I'd just spring for the jumbo. |

Damn. I want one. The 15400 was just way too big. Mint condition blue dial 15300 too pricey. Glad I held off buying a Royal Oak. Seems the blue 15450 could be the answer.

I tried - and loved - the 15450 a few months back, but lamented that it only came in the white/silver dial. They have a black dial, but it was only with a diamond bezel - no thanks. It fits just as well as my Daytona does.
Now that the blue and black dials have been announced, it's a no-brainer for me when I'm ready to buy. I'm probably adding the LVc very soon, and once I'm ready for another piece, these should be plentiful. |

Was in the market for a 15450 late last year but found the silver dial a bit too plain. Will definitely be checking out this new blue!

I need to try one of these on. I can pull off a 15400 which is a bit large for my taste, but actually fit my wrist better than the 15202. This may be the Goldilocks in terms of fit, and I like that the movement fits the case size better, as well as the date aperture placement. A silver dial wouldn't cut it for me, but the blue, sign me up!

New 15450
After regretfully selling my 15300 (multiple times) I wasn't able to find a reasonably priced one again. So I went with a 36mm 14790 with a blue dial instead. In light of the new release, it looks like I'm going to be picking up a new blue 15450!
Here's a pic of my 14790. Fits me great, the 36mm size wears more like 38mm imo. My wrist size is 6.5" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks I'd want to be around 12k on this as I imagine resale will be worse than the 15400. Looks like the jumbo is the safer bet maybe. Some things I love about the 15450 vs the jumbo are the screw down crown, quickset and seconds so tough choice.

I had an AD tell me it's boutique only but who knows while it's all still new. I also have a 6.5 and flipped my jumbo - I agree that screw down and quick change (especially if have a rotation) are advantages of this new one. I can't really explain why I didn't love the fit of my jumbo - the integrated lugs then flatness of the watch just didn't sit so great for my bony wrist. This 15450 being a bit smaller and thicker may be the ticket. Hate to pay retail for it as I agree it's niche and flipping will hurt, no matter the blue dial. And I have the 5711 so there's that |
