Where on the wrist...

Do you wear your watch?

I ask for two reasons: out of personal curiosity; and to promote discussion and self-exploration for others.

I recently noticed from countless photos on TRF that a significant number of people wear their watches much closer to the back of the hand than I do for example. At first I thought 'Geez that is so strange why are people doing to their wrists? That can't be comfortable. '

But then I thought about it a little more and I think I found a perfectly reasonable explanation. (hint: it's not simply a matter of different strokes for folks or courses for horses)

My theory is this: generally speaking, I think people are wearing their watches on the narrowest part of their arms. For people like me who are bony and skinny, the narrowest part is to to left of my ulna. Others who may have arms that are more beefy, the narrowest part may be on the other side of the ulna closer to the hand.

I know it would be very easy to dismiss this whole idea as nothing more than personal preference but I would encourage everyone to give the theory some thought.

Posted below is a pic of my arm with watch where I wear it.
